Pues no sé, un poco meh... No me puedo incluir dentro del hype en torno a esta obra y mira que los fundamentos eran prometedores. Es un ejemplo de slow literature con un planteamiento original y rompedor, ya que se centra en un grupo de astronautas que conviven en la Estación Espacial Internacional. La estructura también prometía: acompañarles durante un día completo estructuruando cada uno de los capítulos en una de las 16 órbitas que la estación completa en ese periodo. Además, la autora se ha documentado excelentemente acerca de la vida a bordo de la nave, los aspectos técnicos alrededor de las misiones espaciales y otros temas científicos. Entonces, ¿si tenemos un buen planteamiento, una buena estructura y una buena base documental qué falla? Pues todo y nada. La slow-literature es un género complicado que requiere de una gran capacidad poética, una buena introspección psicológica de los protagonistas y un mínimo hilo argumental. Nada de eso hay en este libro. No sé si la ausencia de poesía es culpa de la traducción o el libro viene así de serie (me inclino a pensar lo segundo), pero lo que empieza prometiendo mucho acaba convirtiéndose en una reiteración estéril y aburrida. Quizás simplemente no es mi libro. Cuando a tanta gente le gusta tiendo a pensar que el problema es mío, pero he sentido bastante alivio de que fuera tan corto.
