A very interesting essay about the economic debt from an anthropologist perspective.

But... you really have to be VERY interested in this topic, it will be a tough reading otherwise ;-)

George Lakoff, Magdalena Mora Mallo: No pienses en un elefante. Lenguaje y debate político (Paperback, 2007, Editorial Complutense, S.A.)

Review of 'No pienses en un elefante. Lenguaje y debate político' on 'Goodreads'

Another great essay about the power of the language, the framings and the metaphors, in this case in the context of politics (specifically in the USA, though it could be easily adapted to many other countries).

Even having read it with my critical thinking in active mode, I found lots of interesting reflections and highlights to think about (I am also conscious that a good part of my morals probably matches with the writer's one).

A book to put into its context, with some arguable reasonings (and anthropology theories), but highly interesting.

Gayle Laakmann McDowell: Cracking the Coding Interview (Paperback, 2011, CreateSpace Independent Publishing Platform)

Review of 'Cracking the Coding Interview' on 'Goodreads'

Not very sure what to say...

To be honest, in the "non-technical" chapters I found too many advices which were really creepy. I'm concerned that someone without too much experience just reads it and take it for granted. I also understand that, among other reasons, there must be cultural differences to explain them.

For algorithms and data structures: I found other resources (like an existing free Udacity course) much more pedagogical...

Frankly speaking: I wouldn't recommend as first reading for preparing for a technical interview with algorithms and data structures, but it would be interesting as an additional support.

Bertrand Russell: The conquest of happiness (2006, Routledge)

Review of 'The conquest of happiness' on 'Goodreads'

It's amazing how most of the content of this 90 years old essay still applies nowadays.

After reading it, I can only keeping on admiring Bertrand Russell (who I'm pretty sure contained a Buddhist deep down :-) ).

Clean Architecture (Paperback, 2017, Pearson)

Review of 'Clean Architecture' on 'Goodreads'

As my rating says: I liked it (no more, no less) :-)

It has not become one of the main technical books that I would recommend to someone, and I don't feel that there are no "new ideas", but I found it useful as a reminder of many concepts.

Review of 'Writing Idiomatic Python 3. 3' on 'Goodreads'

It's easy and quick to read, and having examples of everything is great.

A little bit basic for anyone who had spent some time using Python and has worried about "doing things right"... but it's OK :-)

Very recommended for anyone starting with Python.
