Great basis with a little cliché characters

The "The Expanse" vibe is strong with this one. A motley crew of diverse characters with problems. A gritty sci-fi universe with an epic backstory, mixed up with a Stellaris feeling when it comes down to the predecessors and crisis.

4 stars because I binged through it once I got used to the writing and "talking" style. I'm looking forward to the next book and I'm happy that it's just a trilogy. "The Expanse" lost me after 6 books ...

But only 4 stars because it's no Hyperion ...
