Ok, so the millionaire (Eben Hale)'s secretary has been replaced, in the Netflix series, to spice things up, but the story is essentially the same, only with Jack London's writing being far more ... polemic, shall we say. The story was ok, but Netflix has taken the story and created a mini-series set mostly in Madrid that is much better. And I say this despite having watched other books taken by Netflix and turned into good series', but generally not as good as the original written work, so this is a change, for me. I thought that this original short story by Jack London gave a bit of food for thought, but that the series by Netflix (Los Favoritos de Midas) is much better.
