My review of 'The Four Agreements: A Practical Guide to Personal Freedom'

I will start by saying that I’m not much of a fan of “self-help” books. I read this because a lot of people recommended it to me and I said why not. I feel the author means well, and most of the information fed from this book is real and valid. But, some things on here don’t make sense to me and maybe I’m just not seeing it in the same lens as most people. The author claims if we follow the four agreements mentioned, life would get better. First agreement: be impecable with your word. Second, don’t take anything personally. Third, don’t make assumptions. Fourth, always do your best. I feel like if I follow these agreements, in our current system, it will lead me nowhere. Capitalism has completely taken my freedom away.
